The NGO Misión Huascarán strengthens education in Peru through its education program, focused on improving reading comprehension skills and supporting students in the early grades with its literacy program. In June, the month of the Peruvian teacher, 144 teaching hours were lectured.
With the aim of offering quality complementary education, the NGO Misión Huascarán has been included in the Institutional Educational Plan (PEI) of six schools in the province of Ancash: Amashca, Canchapampa, Congar, Huascao, Pariacaca and Punyan. This inclusion ensures that the program is within the management instruments (annual planning of schools) demanded by the UGEL valid for the period 2023-2026.
The non-profit organization plans to close the school year by promoting the reading of 15,000 digital books in all the schools it participates. In addition, it seeks to innovate and guide the pedagogical and institutional processes through information technology, each playful library is implemented with tablets and qualified programs to develop reading competence.
