Misión Huascarán Brings Healthcare to Nearly 2000 Beneficiaries in Áncash
The NGO Misión Huascarán, based in Áncash, has achieved a significant impact on the health of the local community by serving a total of 1,898 beneficiaries during the month of August.
This outstanding work was carried out in eight rural towns, including Chiquian, Cajamarquilla, Acopampa, Jauja, Lloclla, San Nicolás, Crasbamba and Nicrupampa.
The NGO’s mission is to provide quality basic medical care access to remote rural communities, through its mobile medical posts. This is possible thanks to the collaboration with private companies, foundations and regional public entities.
This alliance enabled the availability of a variety of medical specialties, including obstetrics, dentistry, psychology, ultrasound, COVID-19 vaccination, nutrition, nursing, influenza testing and laboratory analysis.
Engineer Celso Ruiz, Chief of Operations at Misión Huascarán, played a fundamental role in coordinating these initiatives.
During the past month, Engineer Celso Ruiz managed to hold strategic meetings with the Nicrupampa micro-network and the Municipality of Huaraz. These meetings were crucial to establishing continued collaboration and coordinating future medical campaigns, thus expanding coverage and benefiting a greater number of people in the region.
Misión Huascarán reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of the rural communities of Áncash and continues to work tirelessly to improve the health and quality of life of those who need it most.
