Health: NGO Misión Huascarán reaches a historical record of medical care in Peru

• The NGO Misión Huascarán (MH) has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing its own record by leading nine health campaigns in the Andes mountains of Ancash, providing more than 2,300 medical attentions during the month of June.

The commitment of the MH NGO to improve the quality of life for the rural communities has been highlighted through its relentless work in six rural communities, including Amashca, Canchapampa, Congar, Huashcao, Pariacaca and Punyan.

Since the beginning of the year, the MH Health Program, in collaboration with DIRESA Ancash, has provided more than 8,000 medical services, thus consolidating its impact in the region. Among the most requested specialties, ultrasound and dentistry have proven to be highly relevant, with 134 and 138 visits respectively, providing comprehensive care to the population.

“We are proud to have reached this historic record in medical care. It is a testament to the commitment and dedication of our team and collaborators at Misión Huascarán. We will continue to work hard to strengthen the healthcare in the rural communities of Ancash,” said Eng. Celso Ruiz Ávalos, Head of Operations.
