We installed macro-tunnels to improve the harvest of our Solidarity Strawberries!

We have already started with the installation of macro-tunnels in strawberry crops, in the different farming communities that participate in the economic development program of Misión Huascarán.
These macro-tunnels serve to preserve the temperature and prevent the harvest from being damaged by inclement weather changes, rain and hail, thus preserving the quality of the products. This allows us to obtain 1st quality strawberries, preserving their size and flavor naturally.

The continuous production and commercialization of Solidarity Strawberries allows us to continue generating development opportunities for farmers from different communities in the rural highlands, and their families. Generating a value chain among farmers, who obtain better profits from their products and provide job opportunities to other nearby residents.

Thanks to the support of Packplast Envolturas, who donated the plastic to cover the crops, we were able to install these macro-tunnels, ensuring healthy crops and making the income of the residents sustainable, often twice a week.
