With the aim of continuing to improve the quality of life of the rural communities in the Andean mountains of the Ancash region, MH led eight health campaigns with more than seven medical specialties.

The NGO Misión Huascarán (MH) promoted eight health campaigns in the communities of Huamarin, Mascara, Carhuaz, Huaripampa, Palmira, Caraz, San Nicolás and Carasbamba during the month of May, where general medicine was provided, as well as dentistry, nursing, laboratory, obstetrics, psychology and nutrition.

In the different medical campaigns, around 1700 free medical consultations were recorded during the eight days. In addition, in certain rural communities, ultrasound scans were also taken, anti-covid-19 vaccination and antigen test were provided.

Let’s not forget that the MH Health Program together with the regional Health Authority (DIRESA Ancash) provided more than 13,000 medical attentions during 2022, so it is estimated that this number of medical attentions will be exceeded in this 2023.
