Katy Perry wears a dress made by the textile workshop Tejiendo Esperanza, in alliance with the ESCVDO brand

At Misión Huascarán we are very happy for the recognition of the delicate work of our weavers participating in our textile workshop Knitting Hope that is being showcased around the world thanks to our alliance with the ESCVDO brand.

Katy Perry wears the exclusive Abanico dress, woven entirely by hand by Elisa Luzdivina, an artisan participating in Knitting Hope. This ESCVDO design was shown in Katy Perry’s  latest music video “Electric”, in which she commemorates the 25th anniversary of Pokemón.

The news was covered by different media such as RPP, Revista Cosas, Diario El Comercio, Perú 21 and television programs such as MagalyTV, among others. We are very grateful for all the media coverage which has helped us spread the word about the work taking place in Knitting Hope.

Thanks to the Economic Development programs that we undertake in our area of ​​influence, such as the Tejiendo Esperanza textile workshop, many women and men have greater possibilities of increasing their income and improving their quality of life.
