Health: Misión Huascarán and Diresa Áncash provided more than 13,000 medical attentions during 2022
The NGO Misión Huascarán, in collaboration with the Diresa Áncash and the Regional Government of Ancash, has exceeded the planned goal of 6,600 medical attentions and has provided more than 13,000 medical attentions during the year 2022. This joint effort aims to improve and democratize the access to quality health services and living conditions in the mountains of Ancash.
Misión Huascarán, through its health program, has formed a multisectoral alliance with Diresa Áncash, the GRA, and professional associations of doctors, obstetricians, and nurses. This collaboration will continue to exceed assigned goals, as has been achieved previously.
The medical care provided by Misión Huascarán, in conjunction with public and private institutions, covers a variety of specialties, such as general medicine, obstetrics, dentistry, psychology, ultrasound, vaccination against COVID-19, nutrition, nursing, rheumatology, antigen tests and pediatrics.
Last February, the annual coordination of health activities for the year 2023 was carried out, together with all the involved agencies.
