Peruvian NGO committed to improving primary education in the Ancash mountains

On the verge of the first cut of the year on the indicators of the execution of the education program, the NGO Misión Huascarán carried out analysis of diagnostic evaluations in literacy and reading comprehension.

The NGO Misión Huascarán (MH), based in the Ancash mountains of Peru, which is present in six schools in the communities of Amashca, Canchapampa, Congar, Huashcao, Pariacaca and Punyan, carried out diagnostic evaluations on 183 primary school students.

Based on the results, Misión Huascarán placed 58 students in the literacy program and 125 students in the reading comprehension program at the beginning of the school year in the months of March and April.

Let us remember that, in 2022, the NGO MH implemented the Raz-kids educational platform, which is developed based on an online reading plan with interactive, downloadable books and quizzes.

Thanks to ongoing efforts of our educational experts, the number of books read in a month tripled, increasing from 647 (April) to 1,807 books read in the month of May.
